Sysco is committed to fostering a workplace that promotes, supports and improves the well-being of our associates and their families. Our global well-being strategy is built around four pillars – Health, Mind, Security and Community.

Mental health, which falls under our Mind pillar, is focused on our emotional, social and psychological well-being. Often, mental health is only associated with mental “illness” or a biological condition that affects a few. However, our mental health is important through every stage of our life and affects how each of us thinks, feels and acts. It is responsible for how successful we are in our relationships, how productive we are at work and at home, how adaptive we are to change, and to our overall well-being.

New Challenge!

As part of our commitment to support World Mental Health Day and Global Wellbeing, we’ll launch the Feed Your Wellbeing challenge on Oct. 4. As part of that effort, all associates are encouraged to wear green on Friday, Oct. 8, to show our global support of World Mental Health Day. Be sure to share your selfie on Sysco To Go.

The four-week challenge is designed to raise awareness of the importance of strong mental health and to help kickstart some new, healthy habits that will improve your wellbeing.

How It Works:

  1. Find a team of up to six associates (or participate on your own) and pick a Team Captain.
  2. Check off your wellbeing tasks and track your points earned from Oct. 4 to Oct. 29.
  3. By Nov. 1, your Team Captain should calculate the final point total and submit the points sheet.

We have several fantastic prizes to give away, and the team with the highest points will also win a special prize and bragging rights. In the event of a tie for first place, we’ll do a random draw as a tiebreaker.
