Since 1982, Malcolm Meats has provided Food Service operators in Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan with the finest in precision cut steaks, chops and specialty meats. In 1999, Malcolm Meats joined the Sysco Corporation, America’s leading Food Service distributor, as part of the Sysco Specialty Meat Group team. In 2012 Buckhead Meat folded in Imperial Seafood to bring the finest in quality and processing to the seafood side of our business. Today, with products packaged under the Buckhead Meat and Seafood Brand, we service Sysco distribution centers throughout the Great Lakes region. Over 130 team members are dedicated to being the best at each step. From purchasing the absolute finest raw materials, aging each product to perfection, processing to exacting standards and packaging in state of the art equipment, our passion shows. All of this under the most stringent food safety and security programs that exceed both government and industry standards. Our meats are produced in state of the art production facilities that are USDA, SQF3 and FDA inspected, with an inspector onsite every day when the plant is in operation. Additionally, our facilities feature a fully implemented Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program, Standard Sanitation Operation Procedures (SSOP), a complete Food Safety and Quality Assurance staff, microbiological testing and a rigorous allergen control plan so that you can be sure the product you receive is of the highest quality.
