Sysco monitors all federal food safety regulatory agency market action (recalls, withdrawals, holds, advisories, etc.) alerts and closely works with our supplier community to stay informed of all market actions involving products that Sysco distributes.
When a market action occurs Sysco works with the various regulatory agencies or suppliers to identify affected products, stop the distribution of these products by placing them on hold at our Operating Companies, and notify our customers of the market action in accordance with the direction provided by the regulatory agency or supplier.
Sysco has established an industry leading market action notification process to notify all our business-to-business customers, as well as some consumers to whom we have sold product directly and for whom we collected contact information.
This website does not replace our normal industry leading market action notification process. Instead, it is intended to provide an additional, approved channel to notify end consumers who purchased product from Sysco, but did not provide the Company with contact information and thus cannot be reached via our normal market action notification process.
